Friday marks the 71st anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

More than two-thousand American servicemen died during the bombing raid, in which President Franklin Delano Roosevelt called "a date which will live in infamy."

The attack drew the united states into World War II.

Hundreds of ships and aircraft were sunk or badly damaged, including the battleship U.S.S. Arizona, which lost more than eleven-hundred crewmen on December 7, 1941.

More than two thousand people are expected at Pearl Harbor for a ceremony there Friday morning.
