President Obama went to the New Jersey coast Tuesday, seven months after Hurricane Sandy caused $36 billion in damage.
He was again hosted by Republican Governor Chris Christie in a repeat show of affectionate bipartisanship.
The boardwalks were rebuilt for memorial day and tourists are back, spending money.
"You are stronger than the storm. After all you've dealt with, after all you've been through, the Jersey Shore is back," Mr. Obama said.
