One high school student is dead and four others wounded after an early morning shooting in Chardon, Ohio.

Witnesses say a student opened fire in the Chardon High cafeteria shortly before classes started.

At least five students were struck.

Three were airlifted to a hospital in Cleveland, where one later died.

A teacher chased the shooter from the school and he was quickly apprehended.

Investigators say the gunman attends a nearby school for at-risk students and was waiting for a bus at Chardon High.
