New York City, N.Y. -
Folk singer, song-writer and social activist Pete Seeger has died. The 94-year-old is best known for songs such as "If I Had a Hammer" and "Turn, Turn, Turn."
His family says Seeger died Monday night in a New York City hospital where he had been receiving treatment for six days. Seeger was most recently in the spotlight in 2011 when he led an Occupy movement protest through the streets of Manhattan.
