A strong earthquake struck parts of Eastern Japan Wednesday morning.
The Japan Meteorological Agency says the quake registered a magnitude of 6.9.
While the U.S. Geological Survey measured the quake at 6.5 magnitude.
It was centered offshore near Torishima, about 370 miles south of Tokyo.
No injuries have been reported so far, and no tsunami alerts have been issued.
