Houston, Tx.

Four were left injured Tuesday after an argument on a college campus escalated into gunfire.

After the shooting began, police poured onto the campus.

Because authorities had no idea who was involved in the shooting, everybody at Lone Star College near Houston, Texas was suspect.

Students and others evacuated the college with details of what they saw or heard.

"We heard six shots and automatically we heard students running and we automatically went under our desks, our teacher shut down the lights, and we took cover," said one student.

Witnesses say an argument on campus between two men ended with drawn guns and shots fired.

Major Armando Tello of the Harris Co. Sheriff's Dept. spoke Tuesday afternoon during a press conference about the incident.

Tello said two men were involved in the altercation with two bystanders, a student and a maintenance man, getting caught in the crossfire.

The two men who instigated the shooting were also wounded and are being treated at a hospital.

But because of uncertainty over how many shooters were involved, the sprawling campus with 18,000 students was put on lockdown as well as several public schools surrounding the campus.

Later, police could be seen taking two they are calling "persons of interest" into custody.

Then they gave the all-clear.
