Four Japanese automakers are recalling some 3.4 million vehicles world-wide because of an airbag problem.
The carmakers involved in the recall are Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Mazda because a Japanese auto parts maker supplied the affected airbags to all four companies.
The models involved have not been released however each of the brands will contact owners directly to arrange for a free repair. The repairs are expected to take between 1 and 2 hours.
No injuries or deaths have been reported due to the fault.
