Toyota is recalling 7.4 million vehicles globally due to malfunctioning power window switches.
In the US, approximately 2 and half million vehicles will be affected, including the Yaris, Rav4, Camry and Camry Hybrid, Highlander, and Corolla.
All of the impacted cars date between the 2007 and 2009 model years.
Toyota says the problem is unevenly applied grease which can cause driver's side electric window control to melt or catch fire.
No accidents, injuries or deaths have been reported as a result of the window problem.
