Tropical Storm Andrea has made landfall with winds of about 65 miles per hour.
Forecasters say the storm is weakening slowly as it crosses over Florida toward Georgia and the Carolinas.
The storm hammered the sunshine state with heavy winds, rain and some tornadoes Thursday.
According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm was 40 miles west of Jacksonville.
Forecasters are warning the system will likely remain a Tropical Storm, with heavy rains and harsh winds, until it reaches New England sometime Saturday.
