U.S. Cellular field in final stages of build

Medford, Ore. -- The largest set of synthetic-turf fields in the world is about to finish construction and it's right here in Southern Oregon.

Today, Medford Parks and Recreation showcased the final stages of work at U.S. Cellular fields. The first fields were put in 12 years ago, completing the park creates a landmark in the world of sports with more than 1.2 square feet of synthetic turf. In all, it cost 32 million to build the facility.

Parks and Recreation says they've more than made that up bringing in 54 million dollars to the city of Medford. Construction on the final three fields is expected reach completion the first week of October, if you are interested in using the parks visit: www.playmedford.com
