U.S. Marine Transport Helicopter Goes Down Near North Korean Border

A U.S. Marine transport helicopter with 21 people on board it has crashed in South Korea near the border with the North.

Officials are describing the accident as a hard landing.

All 21 people aboard were hospitalized, and 15 of them were treated and released.

6 remain in the hospital in stable condition.

The crew is from the 31st marine expeditionary unit and is stationed in Okinawa, Japan.

The cause of the accident is now under investigation.
