The Ashland School district has a new superintendent following a 2 year long search.
In a unanimous vote, the school board selected Jay Hummel, who brings to the table experience as an Assistant Superintendent, high school principal, and English teacher.
Juli Di Chiro, the current superintendent is retiring after 13 years on the job.
Dichiro will work with Hummel before he takes over the position on July first.
