The next time you vote for a commissioner in Jackson County, it might be a nonpartisan position.

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners is looking at taking party politics out of commissioner races.  A proposal could be on the May 2014 ballot.

Officials say a public hearing will be held in the near future but no date has been set just yet.
