Central Point, Ore. -- An Oregon State Police traffic stop on Thursday night in Central Point revealed two Washington residents were transporting drugs.
OSP said they found approximately 45 pounds of marijuana and a quarter pound of hash in their vehicle with an estimated value of over $110,000.
Officials said an OSP tropper stopped a Saturn station wagon displaying Washington license plates northbound on I-5 for a speeding violation. 23-year-old Ryan Longley and 22-year-old Coty Hammond were arrested for felony Unlawful Possession and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (marijuana). They both are currently being lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
The OSP Drug Enforcement Section is continuing the investigation.
