As of this morning, the fire danger level has risen from high to extreme for Southern Oregonians.

Officials with the Oregon Department of Forestry say this is one of the most active seasons in recent years; with weather conditions playing a serious factor.

Starting today, there will be new outdoor restrictions. Lawn mowers, chainsaws, and other fire prone equipment will not be allowed in use past 10 am.
