With gas prices above four dollars in Oregon, drivers are looking to alternatives like, electric vehicles.

This is the Nissan Leaf the car makes virtually no sound. It takes no gas and can be recharged at home and even while you drive. but not everyone is ready to make the switch to all electric, because of it's 100 mile driving range. Before having to recharge. while some are waiting for more improvement others are saying it's worth it even at the high price tag. The average cost of the leaf is around forty thousand dollars. The leaf can be charged to 80% battery power using commercial charging stations in only about 30 minutes. The vehicle can also be charged from home over night from home. Lithia Nissan in Medford says, anyone with an electric vehicle gets a free charge there.
