Ducks Pot Problems?

, Written by Joe Camarlinghi, Posted: Thu, April 19 2012 at 6:09 PM, Updated: Thu, April 19 2012 at 6:25 PM

According to an ESPN the magazine reporter, an Oregon Ducks player lit up a joint right in front of him and then proceed to tell him that about half the current team smoked marijuana. Chip Kelly says that number can't be accurate. "If we had that many kids doing it, we wouldn’t be 34-6"  The report ...wasn't solely about the Ducks and sighted numerous different programs.  Kelly says he is aware of the problems young players face and informs them how to make good decisions.  "I see our kids every day in practice.
if we saw signs of it -- I haven't seen signs of it. if I did then I would have them tested, because again of Oregon state law, I have to probable cause, if i could have random testing, I would tell you that number right now."    The school has marjiuana information posted on it's website in which is sites a 2005 survey that says 49 percent of college students nation wide smoke pot...so in comparison to the NCAA's latest drug-use surveysaying that  22.6 percent of athletes admitted to using marijuana, actually doesn't seem that high.
