UPDATED: Crash causes power outage near Central Point

Update (11:21pm): According to the Pacific Power website, the number of customers is down to 19 without power.


Central Point, Ore. -- The Pacific Power website is reporting that power is out to the 97502 (Central Point) and 97503 (White City) area codes due to a crash.

The crash happened around 9:40pm Monday night near the 5000 block of Crater Lake Avenue near East Vilas Road in Central Point.

According to the Pacific Power website, power is out to approximately 970 people.

The website also says that crews have been dispatched and that the estimated time of restoration is approximately 1am Tuesday morning.
