Klamath Falls man arrested for attempted kidnapping

Klamath Falls, Ore. -- Police in Klamath Falls have arrested a suspect who they say tried to abduct a young boy.

72-year-old Mark Gorman of Klamath Falls was arrested by police early this afternoon.

Police say Gorman tried to pick up a boy on Monday near the Little League ball fields on Summers Lane and tried to entice him with a promise of money. The little boy was able to run and find his parents.

Tips from the public led police to identify Gorman as a suspect. Gorman was booked at the Klamath County Jail on a felony charge of Attempted Kidnapping in the Second Degree.
