Medford, Ore. -- Senator Ron Wyden's working with agencies to stem the rise of sex trafficking in Oregon.
Oregon's senior senator led a roundtable discussion with local police and advocacy groups at Medford City Hall this afternoon.
Experts say while Portland is where the vast majority of sex trafficking occurs in Oregon, because of the I-5 corridor, it is happening here in Southern Oregon.
Senator Wyden says new federal legislation, the 'preventing sex trafficking and strengthening families act', is aimed at protecting vulnerable children.
