Two vehicles destroyed in early morning fire

Medford, Ore. – Residents in a South Medford neighborhood awoke to the sight of a blazing two-vehicle fire early Wednesday morning.

Medford Fire and Rescue responded to a home on Charlotte Anne Road around 3:00 after getting calls from neighbors and drivers on I-5 who said they noticed smoke and flames from the road.

According to firefighters, two vehicles including a semi-truck on the property were fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.

Luckily the fire did not spread to the structure and no one was injured. Firefighters said the only other damage was to a live power-line that came down in the area. The line was shut down roughly twenty minutes after crews arrived.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
