Wildfire breaks out near Beatty

Update (7/25 5 p.m.) Ferguson Fire update. The fire has threatened 20 homes and residents are under a ready to leave advisory. Estimated growth of the fire is 150 to 200 acres and cause is undetermined.


Beatty, Ore. -- NBC2's Lyle Ahrens is reporting that the Klamath Sheriff’s if assisting with evacuations near the town of Beatty about 40 miles east of Klamath Falls. 

The 20 plus acre fire started earlier this afternoon. A subdivision has been threatened. Currently the wildfire is being fought with structural fire crews, Air tankers and helicopters.
