NFL star helps provide home for wounded veteran

Central Point, Ore. — After making it to the Super Bowl this year, NFL star Jared Allen made a stop in Central Point this Monday morning to give a very deserving war veteran a big gift.

Allen has given the NFL 12 years of hard hitting plays as a star defensive end, but his heart has always been in giving back to our veterans.

The Jared Allen Homes for Wounded Warrior Foundation started construction on a home for Jed Morgan, a former Marine who lost both of his legs from an IED blast in Afghanistan.

Even though his legs were taken away, Morgan says he’s more blessed than ever.

Jared Allen’s foundation hopes to have the home completed by November. It will be the first time Morgan and his wife can call themselves homeowners.
