Curry County, Ore. – Police destroyed nearly 12,000 marijuana plants believed to be part of a cartel crow in southeast Curry County on Monday.
The Curry County Sheriff’s Office said the illegal grow was located in a remote area of Curry County near the California border.
The CCSO said eradication teams were brought in by a helicopter after the area had been secured by an armed ground team. The plants were then cut down and hauled back out to a landing zone by the helicopter and destroyed using a wood chipper.
Deputies said a camouflaged living area was found but no suspects were in the area.
