17 local non-profits receive grants from Oregon Community Foundation

1129-oregon-community-foundationJackson County, Ore. — Nearly half-a-million dollars was awarded to 17 Jackson County non-profits. That’s the highest amount from Oregon Community Foundation in the county.

Amy Cuddy, OCF senior program officer for Southern Oregon said, “Our volunteer grant evaluators worked very hard to review more than 30 applications and the quality was uniformly high.”

The grants were awarded to the following non-profits:

Asante Foundation, $50,000

Ashland Independent Film Festival, $18,035

Compass House, $22,817

Coyote Trails School of Nature, $10,909

Down Syndrome Assn. of Southern Oregon, $8,000

Geos Institute, $20,000

JPR Foundation, $50,000

Kid Time Discovery Experience, $40,000

Living Opportunities Inc., $47,500

Lotus Rising Project, $6,591

Medford First Christian Church, $5,000

Mt. Ashland Association, $20,000

Rogue Retreat, $50,000

Rogue River School District, $15,000

ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum, $20,000

Southern Oregon ESD, $30,000

Oregon Land Conservancy. $75,000
