48 vehicle break-ins in East Medford

0216 car keyMedford, Ore. – Medford Police are asking residents to make sure their car doors are locked.

Officers say 48 vehicles were broken into between Friday and Monday, most of those had unlocked doors.

The majority of the break-ins were reported in East Medford.

Police are encouraging the public to lock their car doors, and make sure not to leave any valuables in the car. They say if the thief doesn’t see anything they want and the door is locked, it’s likely they will walk on by.
