$50,000 worth of meth seized in Klamath County

Malin, Ore. — A newly formed drug team in Klamath County made a large seizure of methamphetamine. Now, several suspects have been identified.

More than 9- pounds of meth was seized, valued at more than $50,000. The Basin Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team served a warrant at a home outside of Malin Thursday afternoon.

Police used an armored personnel carrier to carry out the operation.

Klamath Falls Police Lieutenant Rob Reynolds said, “There was some high risk concerns, so there was assistance from the Klamath Falls SWAT team and also with the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office Special Response team.”

No one was in the home, and no arrests were made. Police also seized a semi-automatic handgun, and items related to narcotics distribution.
