$500k matching grant for Mt. Ashland renovations announced

Mt. Ashland, Ore. — The Sid and Karen DeBoer Foundation are asking the public to chip in and help make the renovation project at Mt. Ashland a reality.

The foundation just approved a half-million dollar gift for the non-profit ski area.

The only catch–the funds need to be matched by public donations.

Sid, DeBoer, Chairman of the Board for Lithia Motors said, “Not wanting to do any of this alone we want the whole community to get behind making Mt. Ashland better.”

The planned renovation includes enclosing two unused decks to add square footage to the lodge.

They also want to swap the lockers with the rental area so rentals can be picked up inside the lodge.
