Amish party busted in Ohio

Millersburg, Ohio (WKYC) — Dozens of Amish teens are facing underage drinking charges after sheriff’s deputies raided a massive “rumspringa” party in Millersburg over the weekend.

Holmes County deputies took 35 minors and 38 adults into custody on charges of underage consumption of alcohol. Several were also charged with resisting arrest.

“Some of those kids I know they took out of here never had a drop, they weren’t drinkers,” property owner Clarence White says.

He’s hosted the traditional rumpsringa parties for the past 12 years, renting out his rural property to party organizers.

“The parents drop them off here. The parents pull in and drop their kids off! Because I know they’re going to be safe,” White says.
