Aniyah Bennett fundraiser

Central Point, Ore., — A fundraiser for the family of a two year old girl whose spine was severed in a serious crash in Medford last month took place today.

You may remember Aniyah Bennett, the two-year old was in a car that struck a cement sign at a high rate of speed, forcing the vehicle to roll.

Today, members of the community and Foundations for Recovery held a fundraiser at Path Church in Central Point.

The family says they are stunned by the amount of help they have received so far.

Tanya Bender, Aniyah’s grandmother says, “it’s just amazing as a community, everybody has come together for Aniyah and for Foundations for Recovery.”

Food, games, a dunk tank, garage sale and a car wash went on all day.

If you didn’t get a chance to make it out, you can still help the family by donating on their Go Fund Me page, just search “Prayers for Aniyah”
