Application deadline for community college tuition grant approaching

Salem, Ore. — Students looking for help paying tuition for community college have just a few weeks left to meet the priority deadline for Oregon Promise.

Recent Oregon High School graduates and GED recipients may be able to have all or some of their community college tuition covered by the state grant.

To qualify, students who will begin college in fall 2017 must graduate between March 1st and August 1st and must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

RCC Admission Coach Katy Wicks said, “It’s a great grant because it really serves a variety of students. Really, itss built to help students of all different income levels.”

The priority deadline is April 1st.
