Arrest made in Klamath Falls homicide

Klamath Falls, Ore. — Police have arrested a woman in connection with an April 15th homicide in Klamath Falls.

The Klamath County Major Crime Team was activated after a reported shooting in Veteran’s Memorial Park around 12:15 on Friday, April 15th.

The Klamath County D.A. identified the victim of the shooting as 48-year-old Anzaldo Arnulfo-Panuco.

Arnulfo-Panuco was transported to the hospital and died from his injuries later that morning.

The Klamath Falls Police Department said 31-year-old Lisa AnnMarie Gunn was taken into custody near her home on Tuesday, July 13th a0713 Lisa Gunnround 12:15 p.m.

Klamath Falls Police Chief David Henslee said information gathered over the past week led to Gunn’s identification as a suspect, “There are some witnesses that have come forward that are working closely with detectives, and through the course of talking with witnesses and looking at some evidence, the case has come together against Lisa Gunn.”

Gunn, who has also gone by the last name of Petchell, appeared before a judge Wednesday afternoon to face charges.

Gunn remains lodged at the Klamath County Jail without bail on charges of murder and unlawful use of a weapon.

The Klamath County District Attorney has referred the case to the Oregon Attorney General’s Office, for reasons not yet made public.

Police say the shooting is still under investigation.
