At least 13 dead after crash in Southern California

IMPERIAL, Calif. – Over a dozen people were killed after a crash in Southern California.

NBC News reports a vehicle filled with 27 passengers hit a semi-truck hauling a full load of gravel in Imperial, California, just north of the border with Mexico.

At least 12 people were pronounced dead at the scene and about a dozen others were taken to hospitals. One person died while being transported to a hospital.
