Mount Shasta police say two suspects confronted the front desk clerk at the Best Western Tree House on Morgan Way early Sunday morning demanding money. The victim tried to lock himself in the office behind the counter, but one suspect jumped the counter and confronted him again in the office.
The victim managed to escape while both the suspects became distracted with a safe in the office. When the suspects were outside, the victim was confronted again. This time, one of the suspects struck him twice with a gun.
Both suspects are described as around 5’11”. One was wearing all black, with his face covered by what appeared to be a bandanna. The second suspect was wearing a dark gray jacket. No money appeared to be taken.
