Grants Pass, Ore., — A Grants Pass man is showing off the winery he started in his own back yard.
John Jones moved to grants pass in the 60’s and says there were no wineries at the time, so he decided to start making wine on his own.
Now he’s harvesting his own vintage, and loving it.
“It was barely drinkable at first, but each year I learned a little more about how to do it. This time of the year, harvest time is really great because I get to pick the fruit of my labor.”
Jones doesn’t sell his wine, he says it’s just something fun to do.
He and his wife just drink it and give it away to friends.
