Biden administration pauses deportations

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC) – The Biden administration ordered a pause on some deportations.

The hold comes with a review of immigration enforcement practices and policies at the direction of acting Homeland Security Secretary David Pekoske.

It will last 100 days, starting no later than Friday.

The pause does not apply to people suspected of terrorism or other national security concerns.
