Big donation for two local non-profits

Medford, Ore — More than $40,000 will be split between two deserving non-profits after a generous gift from a christian charity.

Rogue Valley Habitat for Humanity and the Family Nurturing Center each received more than $22,000 from this year’s Christian Charities Golf Tournament.

The charity tournament chooses two worthy non-profits each year to support.

“Wonderful to be able to work with great charities in our valley and nice to turn over nice checks to those charities,” said Michael Naumes.

“Always still fundraising for houses as we go along the funds we receive will go towards projects we plan to start in the fall,” said Denise James.

Habitat for Humanity says the money will go towards a new home for a family with three children as well as starting projects for two other families.
