Boeing suspends production

SEATTLE, Wash. (NBC) – Boeing is suspending operations at its Seattle, Washington facilities due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Boeing officials say operations will be reduced beginning tomorrow and production will be suspended for at least two weeks.

Some 60,000 employees will be affected by the temporary shutdown.

Employees who can work from home will continue doing so and those who can’t,  like machinists who build airplanes, will receive paid leave during the shutdown.
