Medford Police search for bank robbery suspect

Updated (1/5 1pm) — Medford, Ore. —  Medford Police are still looking for a suspect in a Monday bank robbery.

Police say this man robbed the Chase Bank on Stewart Avenue just before 5 Monday afternoon.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5 foot 6″ to 5 foot 8, with a small to medium build. He was last seen wearing a beige hat, gray hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans.

Last year Medford had only one bank robbery and the suspect was caught quickly thanks to tips from witnesses. If you have any information in this robbery please call police.


Medford, Ore. — Police are searching for a bank robbery suspect that they say robbed the Chase Bank at gunpoint Monday afternoon. Authorities say a white male adult entered the bank on the corner of Barnett road and Stewart avenue just after 4:30 PM.

According to police, the suspect wrote a note to the teller, demanding money, and revealed the gun. Authorities say the suspect was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash, and was last seen fleeing northbound toward Barnett road.

Police brought out a K9 unit to search for the suspect, and are checking surveillance video. They ask anyone who recognizes the suspect to call police immediately. The investigation is ongoing.
