WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC News) – Former CIA Director John Brennan is threatening to go to court after President Trump revoked his security clearance.
“I am going to do whatever I can personally to try to prevent these abuses in the future and if that means going to court, I will, I will do that,” Brennan said Sunday on “Meet The Press.”
The president has threatened to take away more clearances, seemingly to punish critics and those he perceives were involved in the Russia investigation, including current Justice Department official Bruce Ohr.
National Security Advisor John Bolton says he is considering reviewing all security clearances inside and outside of government.
“It’s certainly appropriate in a time when we’re seeing what I believe are unprecedented leaks of highly classified information,” Bolton told ABC’s “This Week.”
Dozens of former national security and intelligence officials have condemned the action.
