Brookings man arrested for sexual assault

0714 Jack S LaughlinGrants Pass, Ore. – A man has been arrested after he allegedly sexually abused a woman on June 5th near Boundary Lane in Grants Pass.

According to Oregon State Police, a woman called 911 to report that she was asleep in a residence and woke up to a man sexually assaulting her. The suspect identified himself as Jack Laughlin before leaving the area in a vehicle.

OSP said the man was positively identified by police as 65-year-old Brookings resident Jack S. Laughlin.

Police said Laughlin was arrested at a residence in Brookings on Wednesday. He is facing charges of unlawful sexual penetration and sexual abuse.
