Central Point ranked 8th happiest city in Oregon

Central Point, Ore. — One southern Oregon city has been ranked in the top ten of the most happiest cities in the state. According to Homesnacks.net, Central Point is the 8th happiest city in Oregon.

The study took a lot of things into consideration, including the number of people with college degrees, employment rates, crime, and sunshine. Residents that NBC5 News spoke with all agree with the survey.

“It’s a very community-oriented city to live in,” Denise Fink said. “My children went to school here.”

Other cities in the Rogue Valley did not rank as high; Medford ranks 61st, Ashland comes in at 50th, White City is 48th, and Eagle Point ranks 24th. Portland came in at 78th, and according to the website, the happiest place to live in Oregon is West Linn.
