Chipotle closes doors for meeting on food safety

640x360_51209B00-SURGTMedford, Ore. — Medford’s Chipotle closed its doors on Monday for a company-wide meeting on food safety.

The closing follows outbreaks of norovirus and E. coli that resulted in hundreds of customers getting sick.

About 50,000 employees were expected to attend the meeting around the country, which may reveal an explanation of how the outbreaks occurred.
The Mexican restaurant is scheduled to re-open at 3:00pm on Monday.
