Civil war gun auction

Central Point, Ore., — It should be a big day for gun collectors and history buffs at the Millard Auction in Central Point.

The sixth annual “Spring Gun and Western Memorabilia Auction” has a few pieces this year that you just don’t come across everyday, like civil war guns and other historic items.

Brian Millard says, “There are some really rare guns that you just don’t see. There might be 30 left in existence. So it’s kind of an opportunity for people to come down and get a chance to see a bit of history with the civil war stuff.”

And they aren’t just auctioning guns. Millard says there are other rare civil war pieces like horse stirrups and ammunition.

The auction starts at 10 am tomorrow and is open to the public.
