San Juan, Puerto Rico – The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Heriberto Hernandez offloaded 2,367 pounds of cocaine and 2,074 pounds of marijuana at a San Juan, Puerto Rico port Wednesday.
The U.S. Coast Guard said the seized contraband is estimated to be worth $33.9 million.
In addition to the drugs, the crew transferred the custody of seven suspected smugglers who were caught in the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
