Coos County, Ore. — An autopsy reveals the body of man found inside a van is the victim of a homicide.
The Coos County Sheriff’s Office found 50-year-old Byron Sheritt dead Saturday at Bastendorff Beach, near Coos Bay. According to Coos Coounty District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, a recently conducted autopsy prompted authorities to classify the death as a homicide. The autopsy showed Sheritt died from gunshot wounds to the head.
No suspects have been identified at this point.
