Winnemucca, Nev. — Two federal firefighters lose their lives after a car crash near the Oregon-Nevada border.
Reno NBC affiliate KRNV reports the Bureau of Land Management says the three firefighters were traveling south on Nevada State Route 1-40 yesterday afternoon when they crashed.
The firefighters were on their way back to Winnemucca from Denio when they crashed. The third firefighter in the car was injured.
The crash is currently under investigation.
