Disaster preparedness trailer stolen in Mt. Shasta

Mt. Shasta, Calif. – A disaster preparedness trailer was stolen from a hospital parking lot in the city of Mt. Shasta Tuesday night, according to police.

The Mt. Shasta Police Department said sometime between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., someone hooked up the trailer that was parked at Mt. Shasta Mercy Medical Center.

According to MSPD, the trailer held over $50,000 worth of equipment, including generators.

Officers describe the trailer as approximately 15 feet long with a door on the passenger side and doors on the rear. A “starlightcargo.com” logo is also printed on the front. The trailer has a California plate of 1220718.
