Douglas County man arrested on sex abuse charges

RIDDLE, Ore. — Detectives in Douglas County arrested a man on allegations of sexual abuse.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said on August 28, 2020, deputies took a report of sexual abuse.

On March 4, 2021, 40-year-old Joseph Clayton Harp of Riddle was arrested in connection with the case.

Harp was lodged in the Douglas County Jail on charges of rape, incest, and sex abuse.

Deputies said the victim was known to Harp.

No further information was provided by the sheriff’s office.
