Drive-by shooting in Phoenix

Phoenix, Ore. — A drive-by shooting was reported overnight at a mobile home park in Phoenix. The shooting happened just after midnight. In north Phoenix at the San Rogue Mobile Home Park. At this point, investigators don’t have much information in the case.

“A resident called and said that their trailer had been struck by what they believed to be a bullet,” said Captain Sickler, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Just after midnight, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at San Rogue Mobile Park. At the scene, they determined two homes were hit during the drive-by.

“Luckily, no one was injured and the investigation is ongoing,” Sickler said.

The sheriff’s office says as of now, there isn’t enough evidence to say whether this is gang-related, random, or targeted.

“They do happen, they’re not ideal. They don’t make for people feeling safe. We’ll do our best to find out who did this,” Sickler said.

While shootings like this don’t happen often. If you’re in a neighborhood where you’re at risk, keep a few things in mind.

“Don’t go to the windows, and present yourself as a potential target or get in harm’s way. But immediately call the police and seek a safe place in your home and wait for us to get there. We’ll get there as fast as we can,” Sickler said.

As of now, there are no leads or even suspects. If you have any information, you’re asked to call police.
